Farsi Program
The Farsi Persian Radio Program is a cultural program which is aimed at giving a voice to the local Iranian community. The program is aimed at the Iranian, Tajik, and Afghan communities (Iran, is an ancient land of diverse ethnicities). It is broadcasted three hours a week, with dedicated segments for children, youth, ageing people and women. It includes news of current affairs (Iran, Australia, local), literature, festivities and rituals, languages and dialects, history, religions and beliefs, food, psychology, folklore, and music (classical, opera, folk, pop) as well as introducing books, films, music and theatre events. We also do quizzes and talk back radio contacts.
The program started broadcasting in September 1994, in the ACT.
